My parents owned the Fairway Italian Bakery, in East Detroit Michigan for over 20 years. In 2005, I approached them with the idea to start my own biscotti business with my Mother’s recipe. My Father said “You gotta call it “Mama Mia” because it means “My Mother!” Since then Mama Mia Biscotti has evolved from a home kitchen operation to a flourishing company with regional distribution in the Midwest through Lipari Foods. I am forever grateful to both of them and for a name that has caught on and sold more biscotti than I could have ever imagined!
